Community-led development isn’t just a philosophy, it’s a practice that everyone can participate in. You’re invited to our first Open House Engagement Workshop. We’re inviting small-scale developers to share active Third Ward projects for input, insight and collaboration with the community.
Inclusive revitalization happens when property owners and small-scale developers work together with the neighborhood to build from the inside out. Whether you are a resident, a small business owner, or small-scale developer, your voice is essential to shaping Third Ward’s newest microretail, residential and social spaces. Have a seat at the table, meet project leads, collaborate with designers and let your lived experience inform the future.
Workshop Objectives:
Design Collaboration - Weigh in on existing and proposed physical elements of active development projects
Community Building - Exchange ideas with neighbors, Third Ward business owners, small-scale developers and other community stakeholders
Historic Exploration - Honor the significance of Emancipation Avenue and collaborate on ways to manage gradual transformation without displacement.
Join us to listen, share and build forward.
