As part of the Do the Things that Matter! Campaign, The 3rd Ward Real Estate Council invites you to the Common Ground Series. This quarterly gathering is another resource for small scale developers provided by the 3rd Ward Real Estate Council. It is an extension of their Do the Things that matter campaign aimed at community revitalization and a part of the connective tissue for our local development ecosystem, a place where developers, investors, Realtors®, planners, and advocates find the shared values and "common ground" necessary to build a stronger 3rd Ward and beyond.
The Experience
Join us for an Interactive Site Visit at an active project along [site location]. We’ve designed this to be a direct, engaging experience that moves beyond the typical tour. You’ll see the work in progress, meet the stakeholders involved, and participate in a meaningful discussion about the future of our blocks.
The Site Discovery Guide: At check-in, you’ll be handed a simple "Site Discovery" card. It’s a tool to help you identify specific project features and spark questions for our group huddle later.
The Builder "Un-Pitch" Presentation: Cross Builds won’t be giving a sales presentation. They’ll be walking us through the raw realities of the build—bottlenecks, zoning hurdles, and the strategic decisions made to keep the project on track.
The Huddle Up: After the walkthrough, we’ll gather for a casual group discussion. We’ll share our observations from the discovery guide and open the floor for general Q&A about the site and the surrounding ecosystem.
Optional Group Lunch: Stick around afterward to keep the conversation going! We will host an optional group lunch at a nearby venue, to be announced during the site visit.
